    Cheers Aegis.

I don't expect to win in 25nl in the long run. But it's good experience and good fun. I also tried to play 4nl and be the maniac that I hate. I ended up with stats that said 67/40 and it kind of worked had it not been for an unlucky all in. But funny how you get people to fold when you play crazy aggressive lol

Hi Guys, is anyone still around?

3 years since I was here last, and been reading through my posts, very interesting.

I stopped playing MTT online as I all of a sudden realised that it took too much of my time and that I had put the rest of my life on hold for too long.

I have been playing, but only for fun and mostly live at casino and home games.

Lately I have started playing a lot online again, and I did well on 5nl on poker starts, so now I am playing 10nl on starts and it is going ok. I have only 6500 hands so far and my win rate is 0.81/100BB so nothing to brag about.

Let me know if anyone is still out there :-)

Hi are you crushing your casino game? I am between a $10-$15hr winner playing $1/$2 and $1/$3 in my local casinos however I am online finding the same thing you are at the micros. I am winning but more or less just eeking ahead.

Hehe... yes, but trying to re-tool some things here. And yes MTT's take a big commitment. Share some hands on here as you get back into online play. I'll be here with some others soon enough.

Hii, nice to get a reply

Sorry, I did not use to play MTT, but multi table cash game online.

I moved back to my grassroots, the Faroe Islands, in 2013.

I started playing soft cheap home games (.20/.40) and I won a fair amount. But then they stopped and I have been playing in a pub. There is no casino here, but we have cash games going on almost every night in the backroom of a pub They are very strange, the blinds are $1/2, but its only symbolic really. The standard preflop raise is almost $20 every time so the usual 3 times BB for a raise never happens. So there is no point in trying to steal blinds Guys will sit down with $1000 and some have much more in their pocket, ready to reload.
I usually bring around $100 with me and it is just not enough to play properly and its more a question of nut pendling, waiting for big cards. I have some lucky nights, but I have probably lost in the long run. I dont keep track on it and I dont have a BR for live games.

Since I started playing online 10nl, I have already learned a lot about aggressive play and I can now see that the guys that play live are not just crazy LAGs as I thought they were. They know how to play poker!!

I will stop playing there for a while until I can go with a proper BR so I am able to play properly. I also need to take it more seriously and have a BR to play with and not just go and spend $100 when ever I have got some extra cash

Ahh... ok, that was confusing. What was the comment about the time commitment? Just about poker in general? Because MTT's do take a long time commitment. You can be playing in them all day, where cash games you can just walk away at any minute.

Yeah, live games are pretty funny. It sounds like if the pre-flop raise is $20, then you need to bring a bit more to be playing in that game. And yes, good LAG's know what they are doing, but the best part about LAG's is most of them are really bad and easy to beat.

    back though!

I had just finished studying and instead of trying to get some sort of career going, finding a good job or a good placement etc. I spent all my time on grinding 4nl. I probably am sort of an all or nothing guy, and when I realized that I didn't want to spend all my time on grinding and that it would take a long time to make any decent money of it, I decided to slow down. But being an all or nothing person I lost interest because I only played a little bit.

But now I am back grinding although I work full time and have family commitments, but I will try to make a go of it again. Also I find that I can make a little profit playing 10nl even if I never grinded my way through the 5nl.

Yea, those live games are strange. I do think some of the players might be easy, but I think most of the guys I play with have a pretty good understanding of the game and have been playing for many years. But there are some who are bad for sure.

Is it still possible to blog on this site? I cant seem to find any icon to press that ables me to blog.
